Quality Tattoo Art For Your Back

I know about five or six men and one woman who have upper back tattoos on them. When asked, four of them regret the designs that they got etched on their body, which was pretty socking at first. This kind of regret is more common than you think. Too many people are rushing their decision on what piece of art to get and some people don't think at all and get some random, generic tattoo. Here is how you can find the fresh, quality upper back tattoos on the net, so that this doesn't happen.

I really couldn't believe how many guys and girls settle on tattoo design that they don't even 100% like. It's mind boggling why someone who get tattooed with artwork that they don't fully like, yet it continues t happen. One of the main reasons this happens is because lots of people simply aren't finding the quality artwork. So many men and women are being led to low end websites that have nothing but generic, cookie cutter upper back tattoos. Why? Because over 90% of them rely on search engines to find these places.

You see, search engines have become terrible at providing you with a good list of tattoo galleries. Instead of pulling up the websites that have fresh designs, you get the same old galleries that have the same generic junk as the next place. These low end galleries are popping up like wild fire and it pushes all of the truly good places with upper back tattoos to the back of the search results, never to be found.

So, how do you find these places? It's in your best interest to do so, but inly if you want quality tattoo designs. If you like cookie cutter tattoo art, then search engines should be your new best friend. If you want to bypass that mess, forums are going to be the answer for you. The reason I say this is because the big forums can easily be used to find tons of upper back tattoos and any tattoo artwork in general.

The big forums tend to be stacked with past and present topics on tattoo related subjects, which his precisely what you need. All you need to do is skim through some of those topics and you'll come away with tons of info and links from other people. They share links to the wonderful galleries they have somehow found and you can reap the benefits of their generosity to find great upper back tattoos. It all boils down to quality. Forums help you find so many of the places that have fresh, superb artwork, because search engines just aren't doing it for you.

Take your time when looking through the upper back tattoos you find, because you don't want to settle on something you aren't 100% sure about.

Tattoo Art For Your Chest

Gone are the days of finding a lot of good female chest tattoos in a matter of minutes. Heck, most women won't find even one of them. Why is this happening? Because they way most people look for tattoo art is no longer providing you with a list of websites that have quality art. Here's how to reverse that, while helping you get a hold of the good female chest tattoos you probably wouldn't be able to find otherwise.

I have a good feeling that you already know what I am talking about when I said you are no longer getting a good list of websites that have great artwork. Yes, I am talking about search engines. A huge percentage of the general population (95%) use them to look for tattoo artwork on the internet. This wouldn't be such a bad thing if you were still able to find quality tattoo designs by using them, but most people are not. All you get now, no matter which tattoo styles you are looking for, is a huge list of low end galleries. Sure, you might find a bunch of generic female chest tattoos, but the quality, original ones are nowhere to be found.

It's almost like all of the good galleries have been mysteriously taken off of the web. Well, the good galleries with fantastic female chest tattoos are still out there. It's just that search engines aren't showing you where they are anymore. So, how do you get a hold of these places? Surely, there must be another way to find them, right? Yes, there is. The best alternate way to find these places is to use internet forums. It will help you reverse the trend of only finding generic female chest tattoos. If you go over to any of the larger forums, you can find bunches and bunches of topics on the subject of tattoo art.

This is exactly what you need. You can skim through some of these topics and get a great peek at where people all over the globe are finding quality tattoo designs. It's how you can find so many of the hidden, quality tattoo galleries that are sure to have original female chest tattoos. You won't believe how many honest people are in there sharing links to the great places they have found. The truth is that they know how difficult finding good artwork can be, so they share what they have. You simply reap the benefits of their generosity.

You still want to take as much time as you need to find the female chest tattoos that suit your tastes, because settling on anything less shouldn't be an option.

Tattoo Art Gallery

Finding a quality tattoo art gallery has become more difficult than soaking up a pool with toilet paper. Why has it gotten so hard to locate even "one" websites that takes pride in having fresh artwork? I will tell you exactly why it's this way and I will also tell you how to easily take care of it. You can find any good tattoo art gallery you want, but you'll need a few simple tips.

If this isn't making a whole lot of sense, don't worry, because it will be crystal clear in a matter of moments. There is a growing problem with people not being bale to find any sort of quality artwork. Why is this happening for the most part? It's happening because 18 out of 20 people continue to use only search engines to try to find galleries of tattoos. It seems like the obvious choice to find what you want, but all you get is one generic tattoo art gallery after another.

Instead of getting a nice, long list of places that actually have new, fresh artwork, you get this terrible list of useless galleries. They all seem to have the same cookie cutter tattoos as the next website. This happens because there is a whole lot more generic artwork on the web than there is quality artwork. Search engines are just pulling up what is out there. To find a good tattoo art gallery, you would have to go through thousands of search results, which isn't too fun.

So, what can you do about this problem of not finding a quality tattoo art gallery? Well, you can either continue spending all of your time trying to sift through those 1000's of search results, or you can use something better. The better way to find a good tattoo art gallery would be to start using forums. They are twenty times easier than using Google, because you can actually find out where other people are locating great tattoos. The big forums are going to work more in your favor, because they are generally loaded with topics about tattoos and related subjects.

This is where people share their knowledge and findings over the years. Link after link to some of the most amazing galleries are being posted and you can simply scoop them up. It's as simple as that. It can mean the difference between looking through the same generic tattoo art gallery over and over again and working your way right to the fresh, quality artwork out there.

Fresh Tattoo Art

Has all of the fresh tattoo art been taken and dragged off of the internet? It sure seems that way, because it's becoming increasingly difficult to find any galleries with good, new tattoos. While it might seem like a never ending ocean full of generic tattoos, the good artwork is still out there. I will give you a fantastic way to get a hold of the fresh tattoo art you are after.

When you start looking for things on the internet, what do you use? 95% of men and women will say "search engines". Yes, it's true that they are the one tool that everybody uses to find hat they want. It's just that these are the very tools which are leading all of us to so many low end galleries that don't have fresh tattoo art. All you get now is this gigantic, random list of low end websites and they are all stuffed full of generic, cookie cutter designs. To top it off, a majority of their inventory is over eleven years old!

That's as far away from fresh tattoo art as you can get. The sad part is that many people think this is all there is to choose from and end up settling on one of those generic designs. Instead of searching on to find the fresh tattoo art, they simply settle on something they don't even 100% like. I don't know about you, but I don't think any sane person should "settle" on tattoos. Your skin is too precious and it is a design that will be inked somewhere on your body for a very long time.

Now that we have that out of the way, let's concentrate on a subject that is a bit more upbeat. You want to find fresh tattoo art, so what can you use to get to the galleries that have it? Well, the easiest and best way to accomplish this would be to dive into the larger internet forums. I know, it doesn't sound like much of a plan, but it is. You see ,the large forums of the web are absolutely perfect for getting a good peek at where folks all over the world are uncovering fresh tattoo art.

You can find so many quality tattoos and galleries this way, because you will find that people pots link after link to the wonder places they have somehow found. Fresh tattoo art is out there for the taking and forums have your path right to many of them. It's a small detour and it's a detour that can lead you to the right place.

When you are looking for fresh tattoo art, please don't make a rushed decision and settle on something that you are not 100% sure about.

The Marine Corps and the Military Tattoo

The Marine Corps has revised its policy on tattooing as of April 1, 2007. The new policy prohibits large tattoos on the forearms and lower legs, as well as large tattoos on the upper arms that could be visible with a work-out T-shirt on. Previously small tattoos on the hands and any tattoo of an offensive nature were banned. Marines had the opportunity to get the tattoos placed before April 1, 200 to be grandfathered in. Failure to comply with the new policy could lead to jail time of 2 years, court martial, and dishonorable discharge.

The new policy on tattooing reads:

The Marine Corps takes a conservative approach to personal appearance. Uniform regulations stress that personal appearance is to be conservative and commensurate with the high standards traditionally associated with the Marine Corps. No eccentricities in dress or appearance are permitted because they detract from uniformity and team identity.

Marines are prohibited from:

a. Tattoos or brands on the head and neck.

b. Sleeve Tattoos. A sleeve tattoo is a very large tattoo, or a collection of smaller tattoos, that covers or almost covers a person's entire arm or leg.

c. Half-sleeve or quarter sleeve tattoos that are visible to the eye when wearing standard PT Gear (T-shirt and shorts). A half-sleeve or quarter-sleeve tattoo is defined as a very large tattoo or collection of smaller tattoos that covers, or almost covers the entire portion of an army or leg above or below the elbow or knee.

d. Tattoos or brands that are prejudicial to good order, discipline and morale, or are of a nature to bring discredit upon the Marine Corps. These may include, but are not limited to, any tattoo that is sexist, racist, vulgar, anti-american, anti-social, gang related, or extremist group or organization related.

Tattoos have a long tradition among our military personnel. They first became popular among sailors that brought the fad to our country. Subsequently, tattoos became popular among all the branches of the military. Soldiers often tattoo the insignia of the branch of the military, names of fallen comrades, or other symbols relevant to their military service. As with the general population, tattoos are often placed at times of stress or life-changing events. Military duty is both stressful and extremely life-changing, making it understandable for soldiers to try to both commemorate and to visually display some aspect of their experience. Many describe tattooing itself as a cathartic experience.

Due to the highly significant nature of the tattoos soldiers receive and the thought that they usually place into their tattoos, it is far less common for soldiers to have their tattoos removed than others, such as teenagers that get tattoos as part of the teenage rebellion. More commonly, soldiers may want tattoos removed that they had prior to their military service and that are no longer a source of pride or significance for them.

The Marine Corps’ revision of their tattoo policy will likely lead to marines being more cautious of what part of the body they get tattooed. It remains to be seen whether Marines will also be sent for tattoo removal by laser if they don’t comply with the new policy.

The History Behind The Military Tattoo

The military tattoo has a long history within the various branches of service in the United States. Soldiers have come to view the tattoo as a sign of commitment to their fellow soldiers and as an identifying mark.

Divisions and brigades take pride in their own symbols and characters and soldiers look forward to the day when they can wear that symbol and hold their head high.

The United States Navy has the longest and richest military tattoo tradition. The anchor symbol has become one of the most easily recognizable tattoos in the world.

The sailors introduced the practice of tattooing to the other military branches in the early 1900's when they would return from voyages that had literally taken them around the world.

As the sailors traveled to distant places and saw that the art of tattooing was alive and well, they began to create tattoos that represented who they were as a group.

The Army soon noticed the practices of the Navy. Many Army tattoos currently utilize some variation of the American Flag. Whether the flag is integrated into an eagle's wing or into the shape of a heart, the red, white and blue usually plays a prominent role.

Another theme commonly found in a military tattoo, particularly in the Army, is that of the POW-MIA theme. These tattoos pay homage to the prisoners of war who are missing in action.

The United States Marine Corps has it own versions of the military tattoo. Though not as wildly popular in this branch of the service as in the Navy and Army, the Marines still have a long history of tattooing within certain regiments and brigades.

One of the most popular Marine Corps tattoos is of a bulldog. Marines are typically the first strike in a United States Military campaign, and they pride themselves on toughness, tenacity, and stubbornness. The bulldog is a perfect symbol for what they represent.

Those who serve in the Air Force typically sport tattoos with wings incorporated in them. Pilots may include numbers or details of a certain fighter. The history of Air Force tattoos is still being written, but as the practice of tattooing becomes more popular, it is growing within the ranks.

Amongst people who have fought side by side, tattoos are much more than just ink and pictures. A military tattoo is a constant reminder of the hardships and struggles that were endured as a team, and of those who may have been left behind.

Even once some people have left the military, they choose to get a new tattoo in order to remember a fallen comrade or other momentous event.

Best Military Tattoo Designs

Are you considering getting a military tattoo design? Before rushing to a shop and getting tattooed, there are some things that you ought to know before you get one.

Historic and Modern, these are the two basic types of military tattoo designs. Historic designs are those that usually contain mottos and logos representing the most well-known fighters and veterans in history. Modern designs, on the other hand, are artwork devices that represent various divisions of the armed forces.

There is a restriction, though, for those who want to get a design representing a particular division in the military, but have never served in that division at all. By doing so, those who have worked in the division may be insulted.

If you are part of the military personnel, you have to make sure that design you choose is in line with the codes imposed by your particular branch. You can place your design in your upper arm so you can just hide it with your uniform when on duty.

One of the most-worn military tattoo designs is the "Screaming Eagle" device which is used by airborne soldiers. Although it is mostly associated with sailors, its popularity has been vastly expanded throughout the military branches. The Anchor is also one of the well-known designs worn by people who serve and who have served in the Navy. Army, marines and air force use the signature military tattoo design consisting of an American Flag and an Eagle.

Getting military tattoo designs does not only symbolize your toughness and bravery. What's most special in getting one is your dedication to your service, and your patriotism and love for your country.

Tattoos For Soldiers and Others

Military tattoo designs have always been very common among those in the armed forces. Many people who have also lost loved ones that were in the military also honor them through a tattoo with a military design. In this article I want to tell you about military tattoo designs and where to find the best ones.

Perhaps the most well known military tattoo is the anchor symbol that is worn by many people who have served in the Navy. It is considered quite a tradition for someone either currently serving or someone who served in the past to display the anchor somewhere on their body.

The Navy is not the only branch of the military that uses tattoos frequently. Branches such as the Army, Marines, and Air Force also have signature tattoos that many people have. Usually these tattoos somehow involve the design of an American flag and an eagle.

Now, on to where you can find the best military tattoo designs for your next tattoo. Printable tattoo design databases have thousands of designs that can be browsed through and printed off whenever you want. All you have to do is join the database through its website and get access.

These printed out designs will be of the highest quality and your tattoo artist will enjoy working off of them. These databases eliminate a lot of wasted time that is usually used to find the perfect design and then get it printed. Plus, you can always go back and look for new designs when you seek to get a new tattoo.

I highly recommend using one of these services when looking for military tattoo designs. You will be happy with the results you see and the time you save by quickly finding the right design for you.

Temporary Tattoo Ink Review

As the popularity of airbrush tattoos and body art increases around the world, more and more companies are developing their own airbrush tattoo ink. Being an airbrush tattoo artist for over 6 years now, I have had the opportunity to try out many different brands of temporary tattoo ink. Outlined here are my findings from my own independent experiments.

When shopping for temporary tattoo ink, the first thing you should look for are companies that use only FDA approved ingredients. As of this writing, the FDA does not regulate temporary tattoo inks, so be wary of any company that says their inks are actually FDA approved.
The next point to watch out for is companies advertising concentrated ink. You do not want to change the chemistry of the inks you are spraying by reducing them yourself. Buy inks that are ready to spray. Sometimes you will still have to slightly reduce these airbrush ready inks in order to spray properly, but these minor adjustments will be far more consistent than having to reduce the inks from a concentrated form.

Okay, now let's get into looking at some actual inks. The first brand of ink I tried was Nazille sold by TATstore. Nazille is a very thick alcohol based ink. The ink requires 25-30 PSI to spray well. It stays in solution well, but still needs to be shaken occasionally. The durability of the airbrush tattoos sprayed with Nazille is very good. I used this ink at a resort pool where I set up frequently, and it was not uncommon for tattoos to last a week or more even with the kids swimming extensively in chlorinated pools.

The next ink I tried out was OCC temporary tattoo ink. This ink is very thin, and settles quickly. There is a good variety of colors. The ink sprays very easily, but tended to clog the airbrush up a bit when I did not shake it enough. The colors were vibrant. However I found this ink to not be very durable for airbrush tattoos on the general public. I think it is much better suited for professional applications such as photo shoots where the longevity of the artwork is of little concern. But tattoos did last an average of 3-5 days.

Another ink trial was done using ABA temporary tattoo ink. This ink is the cheapest name brand airbrush tattoo ink on the market that I know of. While not as thick as the Nazille ink, it is thicker than the OCC, and sprays very well at 25 PSI. There are almost too many different colors to choose from. This ink proved to be very durable for public tattoo use, with longevity ranging from 6-10 days for tattoos.

The final ink we will look at here is EBA ink. This ink is thinner than the ABA ink, but stays in solution extremely well. The ink is also scented with a cotton candy type fragrance, which is much more pleasant than the alcohol smell of the others. There are 9 colors to choose from giving a good range of options to the artist who knows how to blend his colors. This ink sprays very well at 20 PSI, and is my favorite to use to date. The white is the best I have come across for its sprayability and opacity. Tattoos generally last 7-12 days with this ink.

Other brands of temporary tattoo ink that may be worth looking into further include Badger's Totally Tattoo, TATstore's Duratat, and Paasche's brand of airbrush tattoo ink. Once again, when shopping for your inks make sure that they are cosmetic grade, made for use on the skin, with FDA approved ingredients. You will also want to have the MSDA sheets on file for any inks that you plan to use on the public.

Temporary Airbrush Tattoos

Have you ever heard of TATS or temporary airbrush tattoos? Temporary airbrush tattoos are actually a type of temporary tattoos. It is relatively new compared to the other temporary tattoos and the process is a little different too. In fact, I dont think you would be able to guess the process if you have heard about it for the first time. This is because it utilizes a technique which is quite different than the other temporary tattooing processes.

The tools used for TATS are an airbrush gun and a tattoo design stencil. You can choose from among a lot of tattoo design stencils where the design is already created. All you do is to put the tattoo stencil on dry skin and put color on it using an airbrush gun. This actually works the same way a car is painted.

So,the main difference between TATS and other temporary tattoos is in the tattooing process and the tools used.

In the case of temporary airbrush tattoos, a tattoo stencil is used and an airbrush is used to deliver the ink on the skin. The airbrush helps to maintain some delicate feature required by the tattoo design and helps to do the tattoo quickly too. It is the closest experience to getting a permanent tattoo.

Some people wont even be able to make out the difference between a TAT and a permanent tattoo. How cool is that?

Another advantage of TAT is that it is so easy to produce. All you have to do is get a tattoo stencil and airbrush and start creating your own tattoos.

Temporary Tattoos Are a Great Way to Enjoy the Art Without Commitment

Anthropologists believe that tattoos have been central to society's rituals for hundreds if not thousands of years. In the 20th century they were frowned upon at first, but they are now more accepted in mainstream society. However, many people who like the idea of body art still experience discomfort when thinking about having a permanent decoration on their body. If this sounds like you, then enter the world of temporary tattoos.

Some people get a temporary tattoo because they want a permanent tattoo, but feel the need to experiment with temporary body art before committing to ink that will never disappear. A host of other reasons to get a temporary tattoo exist. Children and adolescents may enjoy temporary body art but parents can justly say they are not grown enough to decide whether to have permanent marks on their body. You can find also the temporary tattoo used for a range of purposes including advertising, holiday festivities, and political events.

Actors have been known to get a temporary tattoo to help them identify with their character in a play or movie. Often they continue to wear the tattoo during promotion of the event to help the advertising campaign. When they appear in front of cameras on shows like Entertainment Tonight and Good Morning America the temporary tattoo contributes to the production's promotion.

A temporary tattoo can help you find your child if he gets lost in a large crowd. One businesswoman has sold over 150,000 tattoos specifically designed for children. These tattoos display the parent's cell phone number. That way, if a child gets lost, he can go to the proper authorities and the parent will quickly get a phone call.

The Democratic Party employed temporary tattoos in creative ways to get out the vote for the 2008 presidential election. The Indiana Democratic Party spent over $1000 inking members with tattoos that said "Vote November 4" and "Vote for Change." (Presidential nominee Barack Obama ran on the platform that he could bring change to America after eight years of Republican leadership.)

You can find a use for a temporary tattoo no matter what the occasion. Many communities enjoy temporary body art for holiday festivities to help celebrate occasions such as Halloween or Easter. Applying a temporary tattoo can also provide an occasion for family fun on any day of the year.

There are three kinds of impermanent tattoos: temporary transfer tattoos, henna tattoos, and temporary airbrush tattoos. All have the same effect and have existed for decades, but temporary airbrush tattoos use the highest quality airbrush equipment and inks and they are virtually indistinguishable from permanent tattoos.

You can buy temporary tattoo supplies on the Internet and in tattoo parlors. In addition, artists can be found in high-traffic public places. Simply stroll along the beach or go to a state fair and you can get tattooed. Tourist spots like Harvard Yard and the Promenade along the San Francisco Bay host competing artists.

Getting a temporary tattoo is fun and safe. If you don't like the results, have no fear. The tattoo will disappear soon enough.
